QUIT CHEWING TOBACCO HACK

7 years ago I was chewing 4 cans of chewing tobacco a day.

No kidding. I had started about 9 years before that after a rough time in a psychiatric ward. I swore I would never go back and started chewing when I went out fishing by myself at a local lake on a bright sunny summer day.

I was immediately addicted. Another person with mental illness falling victim to using nicotine (a BIG TIME) negative coping skill just to survive.

I finally quit in 2012 after my dad suffered an aortic aneurysm and survived and quit smoking. He had smoked for 65 years since his teenage years and was now free. We're watching a t.v. show together right now.

After my new dentist commented that I wouldn't be needing a lip or gum biopsy (I said "WHAT?" to myself.) I finally quit too. I was jittery the first 2 weeks but able to function normally and after that I was home free and never looked back.

Now I use my "teabag hack" to relax now and then. Just pull the string off the back and fold it up and put it between your lip and gum. Sip a little water with it in to moisten it.

I'm using a peppermint herbal one right now.
