Christmas and Christ

Christmas is only two days away now.

How will I celebrate?

With a candle in the window.

And a God who motivates.

And how exactly does He do that?

By setting examples true.

That has led me here to write this.

Christmas poem to you.

You see He likes to make people smile.

At this time of year.

A babe in the manger.

With family gathered near.

Yes, even beasts of burden.

Animals were welcome too.

A star in the heavens.

To light the path for you.

Rich or poor.

Shepherd or king.

Gifts were brought to Him.

The Little Babe brought His Light.

To glow amidst the dim.

This Child had Spirit.

And purpose too.

To bring God's Mercy.

To me and to you.
