4:30 p.m. How's the day going?

Do you ever pause somewhere in the day and evaluate how things went so far?

I'm going to do something different today and ask God to evaluate how my day is going for me.

Inspire my thoughts right now and give me a little insight from Your perspective On High.

Get me out of my own ingrown frame of reference and invite You into this "little temple" of a life and person-hood that I've been given and see what I am doing that is honorable and praiseworthy as well as what I need to be aware of that needs Your Light and Grace to heal if needed to grow and mature to Your Glory and Praise as the saying goes.

I know one thing, I can't swim in this stagnate pool of self-pity and perpetual victim-hood if I am to ever make progress towards my dreams and goals.

Dreams and goals? Heaven in the next life yes, of course, but like I mentioned in the previous post, the here and now too as we've been instructed to do in the Lord's Prayer: "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on Earth AS IT IS in Heaven."

What are some of my dreams and goals that I think are worthy of this prayer and mandate?

Well, working and supporting myself honorably is one such goal.

Caring for myself and loved ones unselfishly as well.

Work and friends and family. All with a view and regard for the Golden Rule and greatest commandment without getting sickeningly self-righteous about it.

I look to the commandments and virtues and such because they are all in fact aspects of Christ Himself whom I do humbly worship in fear and trembling yes, but in my better moments, in awe and wonder.

So how IS the day going? I have made some progress on the previously mentioned fronts. MUCH room for improvement though.

The Life of Christ!

It's not just a story to be told as much as it is THE Source of Life that has the potential to nourish us all. Cup overflowing.

If only we would each give our inviolate permission for that to happen.

Let it be done to me as You will, Oh My Lord and God.

You must increase and I must decrease.

It is only there that I will truly "find myself". My purpose. My life. My family. My friends. My work.

Mary, Mother of the Word Incarnate, pray for us.
