Do the right thing!

I think that about sums up the readings today. You can find them here if you want to read them for yourself.

If you are reading an obscure blog post by me regarding the Mass Readings for us today then I suspect that you already know what "right things" need to be done by us.

Charity and compassion.

In the light of day.

For others to see.

Embarrassing I know, but others must know that the Power of the Word of God, Jesus Christ, "Whom we preach, and He crucified...", (I paraphrase St. Paul here), people MUST know that The Way, is The Truth, and The Life.

I know. Sounds a little cultish.

"The Way". Fortunately it is just the opposite.

It IS freedom from coercion and manipulation. It IS the way to develop your own talents and personality in a charitable way.

It is the ultimate "self-help".

God can do nothing for us without our assent.

He is totally respectful of our free will.

Even to the point that He allowed that free will to torture him to death some 2000 years ago on that "hill" called Golgatha.

That we might live again.

Through the Power of His Forgiveness and Grace.

Amen.

Have a GREAT day!
