DAN POPOVICH IS A CATHOLIC POET, WRITER AND ADVOCATE.

HE HOLDS A B.S. IN AERONAUTICAL AND ASTRONAUTICAL ENGINEERING FROM THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY (1990) AND IS CURRENTLY CARING FOR HIS SENIOR PARENTS IN HIS BOYHOOD HOME IN NORTHEAST OHIO.

HE WAS FIRST TREATED FOR A MENTAL ILLNESS AS A YOUNG MAN PURSUING THE PRIESTHOOD IN A CATHOLIC SEMINARY IN 1993. AFTER THAT, HE DEDICATED HIMSELF TO BEING THE BEST SON, COMMUNITY MEMBER AND CITIZEN OF A NATION THAT HAS SHOWN HIM PATIENCE AND COMPASSION AS HE HAS WORKED OUT HIS OWN PATH TO RECOVERY OF MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL HEALTH. 

HIS COMPACT BUT DIFFICULT FIRST BOOK, WINNING THE BATTLE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS: AN EXAMPLE OF COMPASSIONATE CATHOLIC (UNIVERSAL) SELF-CARE IS NOW AVAILABLE HERE. IT IS MEANT TO STIR HEALTHY EMOTIONS AND INSPIRE RATIONAL THOUGHTS IN ORDER TO ENCOURAGE CATHOLICS WITH MENTAL ILLNESSES TO REACH OUT FOR HELP.

HE IS A CHAMPION OF COMPASSIONATE AND EFFECTIVE MENTAL HEALTH CARE FOR ALL.
