Goals... good to write them down somewhere

I keep a little business card sized card in my wallet that I printed up at home many years ago. Probably about 15 years ago.

On it are printed the date I made it and the age I was at the time along with about 5 life goals that I want to accomplish in my lifetime.

Most of the time that little card just sits there hidden away in my wallet but over the years as I make not too frequent re-organizings and changings of my wallet, I happen across those printed words and assess how far I've come in realizing them.

Sometimes I'm disappointed but most of the time I am pleasantly surprised at how far I've come.

There's no magic in the method. I'll be honest that at the time I came up with the goals it was a very thoughtful and more importantly prayerful consideration of the kind of person I wanted to be.

All this stuff is truly in God's hands. That's my belief and how I order my life in a way. I'm thankful I had the grace to even write those things down so long ago.

Pray, hope and do the work when you are given the opportunity to.

If you haven't done so already, then I highly recommend you pray, think about and write down your goals somewhere and keep them.
