Fruits of our labor... examples of good coping mechanisms

I got a chance to tend to the tomato garden today. (Yes, those three pictured are actually tomatoes. They are German or Sausage tomatoes that we are only able to find at one tiny Amish farmer's greenhouse about 45 minutes from our home.)

Anyway, it took a real effort to get the soil ready and these planted back at the end of May but here we are now in early July and the harvest is on its way.

Soon we will be enjoying some home grown tomato salads (We like to cut them up with salt, pepper, fresh garlic, olive oil and a touch of vinegar.) If that's not healthy then I don't know what is.

Not just the food, but the whole "process" and "mechanism" (terms that I don't like to use for something as beautiful to us as this.)

We are blessed and I am well aware that to those that are given much, more will be demanded of them.

Glory be to God and his abundant creation.
