Personal Story
Daniel A. Popovich is a Catholic poet, author and advocate who lives in the Midwest.
He was first diagnosed with a major mental illness as a young adult after a summer-long visit to a Catholic seminary to pursue what he thought was a vocation to the priesthood. This was not meant to be.
He is not a mental health professional and only offers the contents of this website as examples of how he thinks and what he does to cope and thrive despite having a chronic mental health problem.
He hopes that by sharing his own path to wellness, which embraces compassionate Catholicism, others will be inspired to find and share their own unique paths to wellness.
