What does God want for you?

I was sitting here frustrated with myself today and ended up asking myself that question; namely, what does God want for me right now... or ever for that matter?

I'm sure (sarcasm intended) that there's an all-powerful being out there that created us just so that we could be miserable right here this moment and forever right?

What an "insane" thought.

But I will admit that I can only believe what I have been shown to be true in my daily living experience.

Have I been treated well or poorly by "life"?

It is easy to "believe" in a good and benevolent creator when we have been given everything we could ever dream of in this life. Namely love and protection.

It is also a fact that many people exist in this world that have been shown the darker and more painful side of "life".

I gave up a long time ago on ever trying to figure out what this world and all it contains (good, bad or indifferent) is about other than to say that the Person of Jesus Christ is the key to making any kind of sense of it.

Jesus Christ.

Not merely a concept but an actual Person that lived here in this world about 2000 years ago.

He is the meaning of life.

Take a look.

Examine Him and His message.

I don't think you can truly appreciate Him if it weren't for the adversity that befalls us at times.

Where are you right now? "Sitting pretty" or on the brink of disaster?

I would propose to you that if you are the latter then you find it in your soul to reach for that Hand that is being extended to you right now in the inviolable sanctity of your soul right now.

Let Him pull you from the raging waters or the suffocating slime and mud that you are sinking in.

I, Dan Popovich, don't know what you are dealing with. He does.

He is God. He did come and live, die and rise again here on this earth what seems like so long ago now.

I found out a long time ago that He did that for me and you and everyone in this SEEMINGLY God-forsaken world of ours.

Our world though, and we are and never have been forsaken.

What does Christmas mean to me this year?

I know what everybody is saying (and I get it believe me)... 2020 has been a "year from hell" for most people. What is keeping it in perspective for me? Mainly that MY personal year previous to it of

Good morning... looking ahead again.

This is a typical morning for me. Up early to help with breakfast for my parents and then pray for guidance and use my mind to think of how I want to use this day that I've been given. I really don't
